TURCIA NOVA - 1
"Between Two Orders" examines how Turkey positioned itself—politically, diplomatically, and ideologically—vis-à-vis Germany and Great Britain during the crisis-ridden, dark atmosphere of the 1930s. As the international order established in the wake of the First World War began to fracture and the world drifted toward another global conflict, the book traces the diplomatic and ideological engagement between the young Republic of Turkey and Nazi Germany, drawing upon annual embassy reports of Great Britain, Germany’s rival. Can Güçlü offers a fresh perspective on Turkey and Europe during the 1930s.
